Veteran instructor Susan Jones has been leading multigenerational music for nearly 20 years and has created an 8-week course in ukulele designed for adults 55+ to build community through music. All levels of experience and skill are welcome, even absolute beginners! A respected musician, Susan is known for her adaptive teaching style and ability to respond to diverse needs in a single room.
Uke55 meets at Teton Music School in the Center for the Arts.

Uke55+
8-week Course
Music is for everybody!
This course will introduce the basics of the ukulele and how to play it. Students will learn primary chords and be able to play songs and sing along while playing. Suggest your favorite songs! You will also learn principles of a jam, how to play as a group and the history of the instrument and its popularity. Each participant will be given their own binder, and new pages and resources will be added as the course progresses. Taught by Susan Jones.

No instrument? No problem! We have ukuleles available on loan, or you can purchase a uke from our friends at Chesbro Music.

A desire to make music with others!
