Creative Aging Class Brings Joy to Cats and Community

At Teton Music School, our Creative Aging Ukulele Class isn’t just about mastering chords and strumming patterns—it’s about building connections, fostering creativity, and spreading joy. Recently, this unique group of musicians found an unexpected yet heartwarming way to share their music: by performing for adoptable cats and kittens at the Animal Adoption Center in Jackson.

The idea came from one of the class members during a brainstorming session about their required end-of-course performance. The group was immediately charmed by the idea, and with the guidance of instructor Susan Jones, the "Cathouse" concert was born.

As Teton Music School looks to the future, community collaborations and pop-up performances like this one will continue to be focus. Whether it’s strumming for cats or rocking out with our rock bands, we believe in the power of music to bring people (and pets!) together.
